Funding
ALANA grants funding to member organizations in good standing with ALANA, who are planning programs that meet the social, educational, cultural, and/or political mission of the group. To be in good standing a member organization liaison must attend all scheduled G-Body meetings. ALANA grants two types of funding:
Co-Sponsorship funds of up to $700, for programs that an organization is planning on their own. Co-Sponsorship applications are due at least two (2) weeks prior to the event, to the ALANA Treasurer. After submitting an application, the organization will be invited for a hearing with the ALANA E-Board to review what is written and to the request in more detail. A decision will be sent out that same day.
Co-Programming funds of $700 or more are available for large-scale programs that are planned with at least one other group that is registered with ALANA. Co-Programming applications are due at least one month prior to the event. After submitting an application, the organizations involved will be invited for a hearing with the ALANA E-Board to review and discuss the request for funding. A decision will be sent out the following week. ALANA can provide event-planning guidance if needed.
